ABOUT ME

APPLICATIONS AND POSITIONS

Igor Baskin received his PhD (kandidat nauk) in organic chemistry (1990) and habilitation (doctor nauk) in computational chemistry (2010) from Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russia. After holding several positions at the Semenov Institute of Chemical Physics and Zelinsky Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, he joined in 2001 Lomonosov Moscow State University, where since 2005 he holds the position of a Leading Scientist. He is regularly engaged as Visiting Scientist and Invited Professor at the University of Strasbourg, France. He is a co-author of 6 textbooks and more than 200 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters related to chemoinformatics, artificial neural networks, medicinal chemistry, as well as molecular modeling of biological receptors and supramolecular systems. Igor Baskin is a member of the International Academy of Mathematical Chemistry since 2009. His current work focuses on the use of artificial intelligence (machine learning) in chemoinformatics, drug discovery and materials science.
